Peripancreatic fat stranding and fluid collection were improved after 10 days of hospitalization (B). There was no evidence of autoimmune pancreatitis, biliary stone, or dilatation of the bile duct.

Her abdominal pain improved and the amylase and lipase levels decreased, and she was treated again with PEG-IFN-α-2a and RBV on the third day of hospitalization. RBV was administered until the sixth day of hospitalization, when the amylase and lipase levels decreased again. PEG-IFN-α, pegylated interferon alpha; RBV, ribavirin; HD, hospital day.
